Capes Campaign Issue one: February 27th

Postby DarkestThicket » Wed Jan 13, 2010 10:45 pm

I haven't confirmed if this day is available but I hope to have it be the next campaign day. (The Olympics is wreaking havoc on Brandi's work schedule in Feb).

I'm sorry I couldn't make it to precampaign. I really, really wanted to but I had a prior familial engagement.
I am out of the loop on what's going on as a result...
Are there files somewhere that I can download to start designing my character or do I need to do it in person?
It's Little Dave!

Confirmed with Dave, Campaign Chapter One will be February 27th. I'm working on some set up now. Hope to have it posted at least two weeks before the campaign day. My hope as well is to get it printed off and posted on the gaming cork board in the window at Imperial as well.

I'm super stoked to see the debut of all the villains and heroes!!! (plus some mercs?) This is going to be so sweet. I've always thought that this type of clix would be intensely awesome!!! I think everyone who can make it out to Imperial once a month should really sign up and come out to take over or save the lowermainland. Isn't that every boy/girl's dream when they were young?! I know it was mine!!! :D :D :D

So I've nearly got the newspaper finished. I just have to write up the PVP scenario. So my plan is that each session (depending on the time) we'd have at least one PVP scenario and one Turf War scenario. The Turf War might end up being PVP if both factions choose the same district for take over in which case there will be heroes, villains, and gangers on the same map. If not you basically will just fight the gangers or your opposing team for control.

The PVP scenario will tend to be the overall story arc, it will generate no turf bonus and much less BP than Turf War but will have better loot, I plan to have special objects as rewards eventually so you can either use the loot as a light or heavy object (in addition to the other light/heavy's on the map) or you can use it's special ability. However loot is just that, should you get KO'd your loot is dropped in the square you vacated. It can be retrieved by any other player, traded, lost, purchased back with income etc.

Should your team decide not to engage in the PVP scenario you are welcome to do more Turf War. If time allows and we're all super fast with the scenarios we'll do another Turf War.

Can you dig it?

I can assure you that all the people who will be playing in the campaign are FAST players in Heroclix world. It just may not be fast enough if there is arguing to be done during the battles.  :D

Why are you villains constantly sucking up to the GM? I have 4 to bring too...and they'll likely be EXP. How about that? Are YOURS Experienced?! 8) 8) 8)

Don you've posted...does that mean you're in on the Capes Campaign also? Please tell me it's true...I'd like to see ideally about 6 heroes and 6 villains a side. It'd be sooo friggin' cool to have a bunch of us all arguing while trying to defeat the other team. I'm going to enjoy this so much!!! First WWZ (Zombie Apocalypse), next B.P.R.D. (Sci Fi Awesomeness) and now Capes! Mr. Snow you're doing one hell of a job!!! :D :D :D Man what the heck will you do next? I just can't fathom how this could get better...

It sounds like Don IS playing. That is supremely 'w00t' worthy!

One little note, though: BPRD is Pulp, not Sci-fi. Pulp is the daddy of the supers genre, so CAPES was a natural progression! Can't wait!
