Campaign Teams

Postby undead1 » Mon Jul 06, 2009 4:43 pm

If there is a team that you want to play in this campaign, which does not exist, please post it in this thread.

Just some basic ground rules.
- I will discuss your team suggestions with some of my advisors. We will decide whether or not the team makes sense.
- Your team will need at least 400pts in the core category. Realitically, probably more than 450pts.
- The big guy/crowning jewel of your team should not be accessible from the core category unless it is an undisputed leader of this team.
- There should be no characters in your core group that has more than 100pts. (Definately not more than 125pts)
- At the end of the campaign, your team should be appoximately 1200pts.
- No PROXIES on figures.

- If your team does not work, please do not take it personally. Try something else. I will not be able to accomodate everyone. Keep it fun, and maintain a positive attitude.

Thanks
Manny

ps. It does not matter how dirty your team is, all will fall to the evil one.

"No PROXIES on figures."

Can we assume this means figures can't be sub'd for other figures?
I really want to play Dark Avengers.
But since theres no Daken, I'd need to play as a Wolverine. In combat, theyre practically the same guy anyways. For all intents and purposes anyways.
It would make sense to start Norman Osborn off as his Green Goblin figure, but eventually I'd like to move him into Iron Man figs. Since, again, for all intents and purposes its just Norman in an Iron Man suit, they'd play the exact same way.

Theres a couple other ideas I had, such as moving a Bullseye up into Hawkeye, but thats not a terribly big deal. I'd be fine with just using a Bullseye fig for the campaign.

Ideally my team would start with Green Goblins, Bullseyes, Venoms, Moonstone.. eventually I'd gain access to Iron Mans (replacing Osborn), Ares and Sentry.
I'd also use SHIELD agents as mooks to fill out points.

I know Damon already poo poo'd my idea in great detail and I understand the rationale behind the idea, and while I have my own opinions on it ultimately I'll go by whatever the rules state.
I'm just putting this out there on the offchance this will be relaxed enough to let it happen.
I'm about to start heavily modding/painting Iron Men into Iron Patriots (complete with corn rows), Shield agents into Hammer agents, etc, I thought itd be cool to have a venue to show them off.

Im considering xmen as well.

The mutaNTS FROM xtinctionagenda or possibly the House Of Magnus family from house of m series

xtinction agenda would be straight forword combo team of original xfactor, second team of new mutants and some xmens.

beast cyke, iceman, jean, angel, cable, meltdown, cannonball, sunspot, jubilee, wolfsbane, warlock, wolverine, gambit, storm, forge, psylocke

ill finish this later

I used this as the bye team in my campaign. I'm not going to use it in Manny's but I thought I'd throw it out there in case anyone is interested:

The Legion of the Unliving (TA Masters of Evil)

Core group:

Grim Reaper, Hellcat, Mockingbird, Nighthawk, Baron Blood,
Swordsman, Human Torch (Hammond), Toro, Bucky

Level A: (550 TB pts)
Wonder Man, Thunderstrike, Green Goblin, Kang, Executioner, Terrax, Drax the Destroyer. Captain Mar-vell

Level B: (650 TB pts.)
Hyperion, Korvac, Count Nefaria

Tried to make that work a few sets ago, but there wasn't enough progression (too many high point buy-ins, no gap fillers). The last few sets seems to have rounded it out.
Not sure about the different Black Knights (you didn't have him on the list) and I can't seem to find WhoClix. Also, you have included Zemo - but that is not the one in clix form, it was his dad.
Give them the MoE TA (zombies just keep on going).

I edited the team listing. I knew about Zemo but I love him so much, so I threw him in. He wasn't any sort of game breaker for me.

The Black Knight from Fantastic Forces is Dane Whitman, the current BK. The one in this group is the first. Also the power set for each character is different, unlike Zemo and his father.

So I took out Zemo and forgot to put in Captain Mar-vell. So he's in there too.

I developed through most of the team. You really need to use almost all of the core team to move them through the unlock levels. It was definitely fun though. In the end I had most of the core group, Kang, Green Goblin and Hyperion. They were nothing to sneeze at.

The Human Torch and Toro are usually underestimated by your opponents. Until they get hit by them.

Sorry if this is in the wrong thread.

If HOT is out before your campaign kicks off, Manny, I want to play the Agents of Atlas.
The appearance of Thor's chariot gives me hope.

Promo Bats doesn't have outwit. It was to indicate the starting line before they have the green line.

By flipping through my Booster Golds I have found him team-up with everyone in the following list:

Booster Gold
Supernova
Rip Hunter
Blue Beetle II
Blue Beetle III

Elongated Man
Flash – Barry Allen
Kid Flash – Wally West

Hawkman
Green Arrow
Fire
Ice
Green Lantern - Guy Gardner
Martian Manhunter
Mr Miracle
Batman

So I was thinking that could be a basic team list. The team would also have the ability to have more than one Booster Gold in it because the guy time travels and has already teamed up with himself once. I don't actually plan to use all the members on that list, but I made the list to satisfy you manny.
I HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY.

I'm fully prepared to play that team if necessary, but it has been done before. By me.
I'm less concerned about the pointage than I am about a team that I like and to be quite honest, I'd be more than happy bringing Booster Gold, Rip Hunter, Supernova and Blue Beetle to every match, feated up to the complete maximum. But I also want it to be fun for everyone.

This seems to be the case when you meet Lil' Dave. It took a mere 27 seconds for me to lose all of my remaining innocence upon meeting LD.
