Spike! Magazine 2010: September 11-12: Surrey, B.C., Canada

Last summer's event was a great success and we were proud to again hold an event using only 40mm-scale boards and throwing meters, as well as being the first to introduce DGT Easy game timers to add the clock element to the game. We have had nothing but positive feedback on the boards and clocks with the only negative feedback being the price of drinks at the bar.

With 48 registered coaches within our own league, this time we look forward to hosting the biggest BB tournament Canada has ever seen. We look forward to seeing last year's participants return and hope to see a lot of new faces as well.

For those of you unfamiliar with the SPIKE!, the SPIKE! Magazine Blood Bowl Championship is the Canadian Blood Bowl Major. Four "Major" tournments take place annually, each in a different country. They are:

1. The Dungeonbowl, in Duesseldorf, Germany
2. The Blood Bowl, held each year in the spring at GW HQ in Nottingham, England
3. The Spike! Magazine Trophy, held each year in early fall in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
4. The Chaos Cup, October, held each year in the fall at the Battle Bunker Chicago, Illinous, USA

9 more sleeps until Spike! 2010. 42 coaches pre-reg'd so far and we receive more sign-ups by the day. Plenty of Americans coming up for this one from the greater Seattle area, Oregon and one guy travelling as far as New York. We have a couple of car loads of guys coming from Edmonton that have not pre-reg'd, so we are looking at least high 40's possibly 50+ coaches. Don't miss out on what is always a great weekend of Blood Bowl, beers and meeting other BB players from across the Pacific Northwest.

Pre-reg can be found here: http://forms3.createforms.com/76616/form_1_1.html

Hope to see you out!
Craig.

Sound like you guys are going to have a great time. You might be hard pressed to get some Heroclix players out since it is the release weeked for Web Of Spiderman!
