moving two base figures?

so i just have got my first two base figure (in the form of Tiamat) and played him against my roommate. as we played so questions came up. as in how do you swing the back end? is that a move? it would have to be right?

I believe you more or less make sure that at the end of the move neither section can have moved more than it's speed value so you can't count 8 squares and swing the tail end around to make 9.

so you count every move by two? can you stop the fig on diagonals?

You choose one of the two squares it occupies in order to start counting movement.
As you move, it moves as one square (not two), for doorways, moving between different terrain, characters, etc.

You can move UP TO your speed value in squares, and ALL parts of the base must occupy squares they could legally move to within your speed value.
(i.e. - you can't move your full speed value -counting from the "front" square- and then swing the back end one more square forward)

You can stop on diagonals with double-base characters. (All below are okay)

You cannot stop on diagonals with 2X4 or 3X6 base characters. They must always be oriented horizontal or vertical.
