Feats boned by rule evolution

Postby leg1on » Fri Apr 03, 2009 2:52 am

What feats have changed or been made irrelevant by rule changes over the years?
Been at the kliqs just over a year now and a lot of you have way more experience with the to-ings and fro-ings, comings and goings of feats. Please enlighten me.

I'm making a list, hoping to find something my wallet can accomodate at Emerald City.

Thanks all.

Also part of Look Up In The Sky. I was going to say an unused part but that feat is pretty much unused.

They provided the totally inerted examples, the rules ruined the feat totally, but some feats have been neutered but not made totally inneffectual.
For example lookup Pounce, historically and then now.

ATA's cannot be copied by Wild Cards? When was this installed? Also, why does Giant Stride not work?...it's a recent feat isn't it?

It was installed with the latest rules changes. As for the Giant stride. It is a point sink as Giants get that ability with the new rules as well as the ability to carry.

Wild Cards not copying ATA's part came in with the FF starter, as did the part about Wild Cards only able to copy Attack/Defense from a TA but not share it out. (And the SHIELD tweek as well).

Giant Stride became obsolete in FF when Giants were not longer affected by figure adjacency during a move.

Don't forget Pounce was basically completely nerfed for anyone with Super Strength.

That is what my earlier post was alluding to. Although it also nerfed the workaround for Power Dampening Field that SS provided, especially to the likes of a Vet BA; so imo it was a balancing decision.
