They could lock you in the corner, using the SIF against you.

Well if they lock you into a corner using your SIF agaist you you could either pick up or destroy the SIF.rancidtwinkie wrote:How would it fare against a team that has double Barrier as well?

The core rules do say that the target needs to stop when coming adjacent to an opposing character. Not sure how this is a secret.number6 wrote: Maybe the Core Rules say otherwise....maybe specifying this would be helpful (secrets are for ppl on the show LOST).
Yah there are quite often weaker teams and more thematic teams in the top 32 as some people don't expect to make it. One thing about having identical teams in the top 32 that don't do as well is that it really depends on who you play as well. if you get lucky draws how you play your teams. being that the winning team is a Barrier team if you don't win with it you probably aren't going to have many points so if you lose you will end up quite low in the seatings.donveersingh wrote:All 32 teams have been posted. http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/showthread.php?&t=235140
Notice that team 19 and 21 are virtual carbon copies of the winning team. It's not the team, but the player.
I also can't believe how many baaaad teams are in the top 32.

That is very true. You can't plan for everything. I think that there is way too many different variables but the top players do win more then not. As Theo has stated luck falls in a 4 quadrant chart and a top player will win 3 of those.number6 wrote:radone wrote:The core rules do say that the target needs to stop when coming adjacent to an opposing character. I was under the impression the PAC would cover all the joys of the newly revised power.
I think there will be a lot of confusion over it for the next while. I know that Don and I were baffled about a few things when I tried to get it to work during Le Campaigna (having brought only the PAC).
On the top 32, it seems no matter how good ones team is, or how good of a player you are, this game has a lot of the Rock, Paper, Scissors thang going on for it. You can place consistently, but I think it is nigh impossible for anyone to dominate WW after WW tourney as there are too many random variables in play that a player can't possibly control....which is kinda cool imo.

Wait, it was four. Five would have been quintrants.

Mysterious Stranger wrote:Heh, no great mystery, chum. Just a simple comparison on the intersection between luck and skill. I don't remember the details of the quadrant, but the bottom line is that strong players are more likely to be able to weather bad luck.
The principle can be shown in "shenanigans", especially ones with very complicated twists on the rules (and new gaps to exploit) but even with ones with extremely random elements. Skilled players tend to do better I used to expect, but it shouldn't be that much of surprise: despite attempting to level the playing field, it's just something ELSE to adapt to, while a novice player is having a hard enough time with issues of Line Of Fire and power combinations.

Is that a character that has the properties of a SIF?donveersingh wrote:I keep thinking that people are expecting the Lady SIF to be in the next set. That would be much better than that stupid object.
