Here is some points on how the pre-game breaks down.


Step 1:
Build Your Force

You should have this done before you show up to the venue.
Familiarize yourself with your team, look at their dials and understand their synergy. How will you use them, what role does each play. This will speed up your game and help you make better decisions during the game.


Step 2:
Prepare the Battlefield

High roll gets map choice, other player gets edge choice.
Map choice can be more important that BFC, as it will often dictate the nature of the game and the 'elbow room'. Choose one that will most benefit the nature of your team and hinder your opponent's.


Step 3:
Reveal Battlefield Conditions

"Players who have chosen to include battlefield condition cards in their forces reveal the cards simultaneously. After all battlefield conditions have been revealed, each player playing a themed team may choose to ignore one battlefield condition for the entire duration of the game; once the choice is made it can

I find lots of players just set up their figs right away in their end of the map regardless of the order.

Very true and then they postition as well afterwards...More like they put them down the re-arrange.
