Somebody tell me how to beat this team.

Cuz I'm stumped.

4 Ice maidens (33pts each)
Rook Aleta (51 pts)
Vet Pulsar (103 pts) + AP (10 pts)
and one Structural integrity field

The odds of pulling No heavy objects is 12.5%. So, assuming you don't screw up your barrier positions, its a easy win 9 times out of 10.

the ice maidens make barriers, and the Structural integrity field makes them indestructable.

True, but you could easily build a theme team that does the same thing(4 x magma, aurora, and marvel boy OR 4x paste pot pete, wizard, transporter spidey), so BFC's cant be counted on any more.

On any outdoor map a flying SS figure could pick up the object and run away with it. A lot of indoor maps can have an exuberance of hindering thus making barriers very difficult. Phasing SS figures could take the object too. Just phasing if you don't build the barrier perfectly or don't have any option but to leave gaps due to positioning or hindering. Once inside the barrier havok can be wreaked.

I ran Black Adam / Barrier / TK teams many many moons ago with Avalanches etc. (when winning was everything). It works quite well, but usually positioning with the barrier to have control of the map was difficult to do in practice. If my opponents team was fewer points (forcing me to attack) I had to move out of my starting zone and then setup shop which without enough mobility can be very difficult.

Vault and Poison.

Attack the barrier - vault over it and poison the Ice Maidens ...

I know the solution!!! You just need to come play at Imperial and you NEVER have to face a team like that EVER. And if you do I'll lay the smack down on the guy/gal for you. :D :D :D

why would you leave a space for someone to vault into? I'm also thinking you've got a pretty good shot at beating them off it before they poison you.

D-mon and Chet's ideas would work but you'll probably end up with your phasing fig out of position and easy pickings.

You could also use a figure like Cloak as well - phasing + poison. Add Damage Shield and it is golden.

In order for 4 characters to have LoF to generate the barriers, there will have to be some gaps.

Ice Maiden only has 2 clicks of barrier, so they can't afford to push.

I think Phantom Girl is one of the best figures in the game right now - and she easily fills many roles on teams. (Wildcard, 18 DV, Flier, etc). Her Special Power is one that I'm constantly using and it seems like it would be a good way to deal with this issue, if it comes up. With no good attacker other than Pulsar (and, frankly, I don't find that figure to be great), you should be able to build a good team to take it out.

Some BFCs can be counted on. Theme teams allow a player to ignore BFCs, but they have no effect on the other player.

Wasteland - on your turn, walls will be destroyed - so your opponent will have to take that into account when setting up.
