Wildcards

I've been trying to keep up on how the new rules affect wildcards. Unfortunately, I am confused and actually feeling a little frustrated.

For example, Thunderbolts now costs 8 pts / figure?! Where was this updated?

Also, wildcards now key off keywords?! I'm not sure what this means. Does that mean Spider-Man allies can only copy team abilities of characters they share a keyword with?

I've also heard that wildcards can only copy one team ability per turn? Even still, I guess they have to declare this before your opponent declares an action otherwise they can't copy the team ability at all?

Can anybody help me with some key pointers about WILDCARDS? Layman terms would be appreciated. Thank you so much in advance for your contributions!

I think you are confusing Wildcards and Alternate Team Abilities (ATA). Wildcards (WC) can copy one team ability including ATA's per action. They can change at the beginning of an action as long as it doesn't make the action illegal. (No copying Batman in response to being targetted you have to have been copying Batman on an action before they started targetting you.)

Only One ATA can be bought for your team and there is a cost per character. ATA's no longer key off of team symbol but keyword. This is the reason the cost increase for Thunderbolts was to compensate for the fact that the ATA is in addition to any TA that the character may have.
